Isle Of Wight Holiday Home
A contemporary holiday home in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight, with
panoramic sea views and open-plan living
Perhaps you imagine walking to the beach in minutes, or strolling into a seaside town with beachside bars, shops and restaurants. Maybe you’d like coastal walks that start at your doorstep. All of this you’ll find at Seagrass, Ventnor, our contemporary Isle of Wight holiday home.
Seagrass is a boutique holiday house that brings a touch of Californian style to the English south coast. Clean and white, spacious and light, this is an architect-designed alternative to the traditional seaside holiday cottage. It’s a very special holiday rental, perfectly located on the largest island in the UK.
We hope, like us, you’ll love the main living space, with its wall of glass and double-height ceiling that arches towards the sky. It’s open-plan for relaxing and dining, cooking, watching TV or just gazing at the waves. Throw open the bi-fold doors to the level decking, double your living space and let in the sound of the sea.
On the decking, you are greeted by 180-degree views of the English Channel, the world’s busiest waterway. The seascape is dotted with cruise liners and fishing vessels, cargo ships and sailing boats – a living picture of sky and ocean that invigorates the senses.
Whether you’re travelling as a family or looking for a romantic get-away, Seagrass has two modern bedrooms which can be configured for couples or children. Your well-behaved dog is welcome, too. There are two stylish shower rooms, one en-suite. All the beds have top quality mattresses and Egyptian cotton bedlinen. Wake up to uninterrupted sea views from the enormous picture windows.
Seagrass sits on a quiet residential street, a peaceful retreat from the world but less than five minutes’ walk to the nearest fish and chip shop or English pub. Choose from three outdoor spaces: the private, sea-facing, landscaped garden with BBQ patio – enclosed and safe for children and pets – a separate G&T terrace, or the decking which extends from the living room, facing south for day-long sunshine.
This is a real home created by a real family – we love to stay here too. With my training in interior design, I’ve tried to provide every comfort for guests: from Danish “candle” lights that add a warm glow in the evenings, to modern art and photography showcasing the talents of artists around the island. There are binoculars for ship-spotting and maps to help you get around. There’s Netflix on tap and a Blu-Ray player. Your welcome hamper is stocked with locally-sourced products, grown and made on the Isle of Wight.
Seagrass has off-road parking for two cars and if you choose, you can leave them right there. Ventnor has everything you need for a family week away or short break by the sea…
Ventnor was a favourite holiday destination of the Victorians, who knew the health benefits of sea bathing and a mild year-round climate. Sheltered and facing due south towards France, the resort enjoys warm evenings, mild winters and some of the longest sunshine hours in Britain. There’s a Blue Flag beach and a fishery selling the fresh catch of the day, every day. The Esplanade and town have some great restaurants and cocktail bars. Oh, and Crave, the best ice cream parlour on the Isle of Wight, is a mere five-minute stroll. Hike to the secluded Steephill Cove or just relax on the terrace at the Spyglass Inn, taking in the traditional English beach scene.
We hope to welcome you soon to Ventnor and that you’ll enjoy sharing the beauty of Seagrass, our Isle of Wight holiday home.

Fabulous house – the amazing open space when the bifold doors open – reaches out to the sea. Woke up to the view of the sea after the best night’s sleep on the really comfy bed.

This is truly a five star experience with stunning views and a luxurious home.

I’ve rented a lot of places over the years but this is the best (by a long way!) We’ve been very lucky with the weather so have made the most of the terrace and views of the sea. I used to come here on holiday as a child so has been lovely re-visiting the Island. Will definitely be back!

You should be very proud of the house, it is exactly what we expected from the website. We are extremely jealous and would like one for Christmas! Enjoyed breakfasts in town and meal out of an evening.

Seagrass is by far the best BlueChip property we’ve stayed in out of 9! The attention to detail & provision of everything guests could possibly need is truly exceptional. This is a true home from home. Difficult to beat on all levels!

Beautiful accommodation with a great view over Ventnor – we didn’t bother closing the blinds all week so we could wake up gazing across the seascape. We only used the car once, the rest of the time we either walked or used the excellent buses that are so frequent. So many lovely places to visit, eat and drink…
